one of my all-time favourite things to do was when i was a kid, me and a friend who lived in an awesome, three-story house in the country, would take his MASSIVE marble collection to the top of the stairs (his house had a stairway that ran the entire height of the house, in one long, straight path) and roll the marbles down the stairs…
after the first time, we learned that we could shut the doors to the stairway and not negatively affect the people who, otherwise, had to navigate the cascade of marbles… ;-)
